Culture Day 2026

This year, we proudly celebrated our fourth annual Culture Day, and what a fantastic occasion it was! With the theme "Rock Music and Our Community," the day was filled with inspiring performances, cultural celebrations and memorable experiences for our entire school community.

We were thrilled to welcome a special Elvis tribute artist, who entertained students and staff with an energetic performance, as well as a rock band made up of former Islip Manor students, who returned to perform and inspire the next generation. We were also honoured to host two alumni who are now successful lawyers. They shared their career journeys and encouraged students to believe in themselves and pursue their ambitions.

Our talented students took centre stage throughout the day with outstanding musical and dance performances, showcasing their confidence, creativity and teamwork. Several members of staff also joined in, delighting students by sharing their own musical talents.

This year's event was especially significant as it was our first Culture Day as Islip Manor High School in our new building. The celebrations began with breakfast in form groups before students took part in culturally themed lessons across the curriculum. At lunchtime, students enjoyed a vibrant cultural catwalk, proudly celebrating their heritage through traditional dress, alongside popular henna stations.

The day concluded with a whole-school Zoom celebration, where students reflected on the day's activities and achievements before prizes were presented to recognise outstanding participation and effort.

Once again, our school community demonstrated the diversity, respect and talent that make Islip Manor High School such a special place. We would like to thank all of our students, staff and visitors for making Culture Day 2026 such a memorable success.

We are already looking forward to Culture Day 2027, which will take place on Friday 16 July 2027, and another wonderful celebration of our diverse and vibrant school community.
